Geo-caching Adventures
This very popular activity involves fun and educational, ecological and historical clues that lead you on an adventure from one beautiful location to another. Based on the clues guests use a GPS, compass, and topographical map to find their way around the course. Our course setter, Bill Neuwirth, is a professional outdoor educator, wildlife biologist, and plant identification expert who has set up over twenty-five geo-caching courses in New Mexico and Colorado.
Quinlan Ranch offers four separate geo-caching courses located in different areas around the ranch. Our hiking course winds through one of the high mountain valleys and ridge tops, and a mountain biking course, snowshoe course, and cross country ski course all originate right out the back door of your lodging. Geo-caching is a fantastic adventure for families and groups of friends, and a great team building exercise for business retreats.
